Front and Present

So, I woke up at 3:30am….and couldn’t go back to sleep. ::sigh:: In addition, my being up got Indi all out of whack, so he wanted to go outside about every 30 minutes. At one of these trips (I think it was 4:30-5am), we were outside at the exact moment the front came through. We could hear the rain at the end of the driveway and then heard it get closer. Then, Indi started twitching his ears from the drops and then I felt them. The drops were cool like the air. The sky was a dark cloudy fog. It was so very quiet and still and peaceful.

I’ve never been a morning person, but that moment made me wish I could become one.

An hour or two later when we went out again, we heard some more geese migrating south (but the cloudy fog kept us from seeing them). This was also a beautiful moment that can’t be captured by any media we have with current technology.
