Vacay 2020

What a year it’s been. Like most, we didn’t get to take any real vacations. So, we used the holidays (and the RV) to rectify that and spent Christmas through New Year’s in the RV near the Ouachita National Forest and Hot Springs, Arkansas.

We hiked one long day and two short ones; the views are nothing short of spectacular. We had three Jeepin’ Around days where we saw some gorgeous sites. We watched L’s bowl game. We were tethered to the RV for a couple of days due to cold rain.

Here is a time-lapse of us driving the scenic road through the forest. Along the way, there are several camping spots (dry, natch) just alongside the road.
I love how the trees change even at these minor elevation changes.

At the top we hiked to the Pinnacle. It was all so very beautiful.

Whatever you celebrate–and however you do given this insane year–we hope you are happy and well and masked and 6′ away from everyone.
