Third time’s a charm

We woke up on Shopping Day 3 with a strong favorite, but we had yet to see two great buildings in a different part of town. One of the buildings was a total bust (ew!) and the other was great, but the unit was teeny tiny. We also didn’t like the area compared to the others.

Friday afternoon, we did paperwork and made a formal offer on our fave. Early Saturday morning, we went under contract! They were also having an open house of four units in the building, so we went back to it (and got to see some super-fancy others). Since it’s vacant, we have one more visit before we head back to Austin. We could have closed in two weeks, but didn’t have a need to push, so we close later this month. We went back on Monday and measured darn near everything and took tons of pictures.

We love everything about it except for the carpet, which we plan to have replaced. They are also leaving us some of the furniture that wasn’t from the staging package. Favorite elements are: the location, the windows/views, the kitchen, the Murphy guest bed and built in craft/makeup/work desk, the gym that includes a pilates reformer, the “party” deck (pool, hot tub, fire, grills).
